Dry air suppressing cyclone development

Disturbance Twenty Seven is in the southern Caribbean passing close to the north of the Netherlands Antilles moving a tad north of west at 12 knots. Astern of the centre, squalls have cleared the Windward Islands and dry environmental conditions ahead are not favourable for development.
Disturbance Twenty Eight has just cleared the African coast and is headed west at 13 knots. This has a glint in its eye but dry Saharan air looks set to dampen its ardour.
