NESTOR ashore and weakening

Sunday 20th October 2019

Disturbance Fifty is limping across the south central Caribbean now centred half way between the Netherlands Antilles and Nicaragua. This is very weak and has little shower and thunderstorm activity. Probably on its last legs.

Disturbance Fifty Three is now around 450 miles north east of the mouth of the Amazon moving slowly west. Conditions are not at all favourable for development and this system is expected to remain weak.

NESTOR is no longer a tropical system, only producing light to moderate rainfall over eastern North Carolina and eastern Virginia this morning. This will track out to sea later today without further development.

Stand easy.
