Disturbance eighteen seaborne with harmless prospects
Disturbance eighteen is now seaborne centred some 330 miles east of Jacksonville, trailing an eastbound cold front. The disturbance will move slowly northeast over the next few days. No significant impacts are expected along the southeast U.S. Coast.
Disturbance twenty one is two days east of the Cape Verde Islands and is moving west at 9 knots. There has been little change in organisation over the past 12 hours. There is a chance that it could strengthen into a depression either today or tomorrow. However, most guidance indicates either no strengthening or slight strengthening. Even if the system strengthens, conditions along its path are quite hostile toward development and a weakening trend will begin over the weekend.
